Teen Interview 2:
You said what about teenagers!?
Q: What is your favorite music?
A:My favorite genre of music is divided between electronic and rock
Q:What do you think about teenagers today?.
A: I think most teenagers today, at least the ones I’ve observed, have become too ignorant about the world around them, and don’t put in as much effort towards improving the world around them as people have in the past. I also believe that general critical thinking skills have gone to the wayside.
Q:What is your favorite actress or actor?
A: My favorite actor would be Keanu Reeves
Q:What is your political standpoint (this question is optional)?
A:When it comes to politics, I believe there should be one central government that only takes care of defense, general welfare, and foreign relations. I believe that it should be ruled by a large group of unbiased citizens, or something else, such as an artificial intelligence.
Q:What are you most passionate about?
A:The thing I’m most passionate about is learning about the universe around me. The universe is so complex, yet so simple, and it has so many tantalizing mysteries. To me, learning is more than just going to school and doing work. Learning is waking up in the morning, then being able to go to bed knowing more than you did when you woke up.
Q:What do you want to do for a living?
A: I’m not too certain of what my career of choice is yet. I’m currently thinking about two paths: Engineering, and physics. I’m thinking about becoming an engineer because I could create things that would be able to benefit humanity. I could create robots that find useful natural resources, or create engines that do not pollute the environment. I’m also interested in physics because I could extend the boundaries of mankind’s knowledge. I could help answer some of the big questions, like “Where did we come from?”, or “Why are we here?”
Q:What is your favorite charitable organization?
A:My favorite charity at the moment is Workaid. Workaid takes old tools and refurbishes them so people who are impoverished can use them. I like Workaid because it really gets down to the root of the people’s problem. If they have tools, they can start producing goods, so they start to have an economy, and so on.
Q: How often do you do community and service?
A:I don’t do as much community service as I would like, but I try to do more. Being a student taking advanced classes takes up a lot of my time, so between that and resting, I only get an hour or two of free time a day. Although I do sometimes use this time for community service, I also use this for entertainment, as I realize the importance of a balanced lifestyle.
Q: What is the country's biggest issue in your opinion?
A:I don’t do as much community service as I would like, but I try to do more. Being a student taking advanced classes takes up a lot of my time, so between that and resting, I only get an hour or two of free time a day. Although I do sometimes use this time for community service, I also use this for entertainment, as I realize the importance of a balanced lifestyle.
Q: What is the worlds biggest issue in your opinion?
A:The biggest problem on our planet is that we aren’t working together. I’m not saying that the Earth needs one government, because I realize most of humanity is not ready for that. But I think countries should work together to improve the lives of their citizens, that war should be eliminated, and that prejudices against each other should be exterminated.
Q: If you could make one wish for the world, what would it be?
A:My hope for humanity is that we will join together and work for the future. I really do hope that my great grandchildren will be zipping around the stars in spaceships, and the only way that will happen is if humanity will get its act together. Humanity is using a way of thinking that focuses on immediate survival. Although this thinking has proven useful throughout our evolution, it is no longer needed, and cannot continue on forever.
Q: If you were president, what are five things you would do?
A: a)Cut all the unnecessary spending
b) Increase clean energy production
c) Eliminate outsourcing, and promote the trading of goods
d) Increase funding towards education and scientific endeavors
e) Promote progressive industries and technologies
